About the project
From Florida to Qatar: A Global Concept Brought to Life
The first spark of the Bricks 4 Kidz idea was ignited in the state of Florida in the United States of America in 2008, and it rapidly grew into one of the world's best-known educational and recreational platforms, present in more than 40 countries.
In the State of Qatar, RASSEDCO is proud to have been the operating partner that brought this global concept to life on the ground, turning it into a complete educational facility and nursery from A to Z.
Sourced and secured a building meeting Ministry of Education space and location requirements, and completed the lease.
Converted the residential structure into a safe, stimulating learning environment — fitting out the outdoor area with an integrated grass play zone and colourful shade canopies, and securing the facility to safety and security requirements.
Fitted out classrooms and interiors with specialist nursery furniture — tables, coloured seating and toy-storage cabinets — in the Bricks 4 Kidz visual identity, plus a fully equipped in-house medical room meeting health requirements.
Handled the full licensing file through to the final operating licence.
Recruited the complete team — from nursery director to administrators, specialist teachers and qualified assistants.
Site Search and Logistical Contracting
We began the journey from point zero by selecting and securing the appropriate building, one that complied with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in terms of area and geographical location, and by completing all procedures for leasing the building.
Structural and Engineering Modifications
We converted and modified the internal and external form of the residential building so that it became a safe and stimulating educational environment for children.
Fully equipping the outdoor courtyard by creating a complete grass play area.
Fitting out the play equipment and installing brightly coloured sun-shade canopies.
Securing the facility in accordance with security and safety requirements.
Interior Fit-Out and Furnishing
The classrooms and interior spaces were designed and furnished with specialist nursery furniture (tables, colourful chairs and toy cabinets) carrying the global Bricks 4 Kidz visual identity, which is built on colourful (LEGO) bricks that appeal to the intellect.
The fit-out also included establishing an internal medical clinic, fully equipped and compliant with health requirements, to safeguard the children's wellbeing.
Licences and Legal Approvals
We took full charge of the file for obtaining all licences, legal approvals and official certificates from the various relevant government authorities in the State of Qatar, through to receiving the final operating licence, thereby lifting a heavy burden from the investor's shoulders.
Recruitment of Technical and Administrative Staff
Our role did not end with handing over walls and furniture; we also built the facility's "human structure".
We supervised the sourcing and appointment of the entire staff team with diligence and professionalism, beginning with the nursery director, through the administrative staff and specialist teachers, and extending to the qualified assistants who work with the children.
